Along with the graphic of people walking, Hiroshi Yoshino’s poem appears. The poem looks at the fact that “walk” is made up of “stop a little” in kanji.
Human walking is a reverse pendulum (an upward pendulum centered on the part of the body in contact with the ground) mechanism. When the pendulum switches from left to right or right to left, the motion of the pendulum stands still for a moment.
Such nature is beautifully described in the poem.

The human head is the musical symbol fermata meaning to extend the sound and “stop a little” the beat.
